Incan berries go by a variety of different names including the Golden berry, Aztec berry and Peruvian cherry to name but a few. They have been harnessed by indigenous tribes for centuries, as both a valuable source of food and a traditional medicine, used in the treatment of a number of ailments. Known to have a mildly laxative effect, promotes healthy metabolism and bowel health.
It is an excellent addition to your raw-some kitchen pantry. This berry is rich in protein, vitamin C, vitamin A and group B vitamins and helps support healthy skin, hair, eyesight and maintain high levels of energy.
We love just to snack on Incan berries – it is our favourite airport/transit snack. They are also amazing soaked and added to salads, made into a salad dressing, or coated in raw chocolate.
