Medicinal Mushroom Latte

You might have noticed a rise in the popularity of medicinal mushrooms lately – and there’s a good reason for it!

Mushrooms have been widely used in alternative medicine practices for centuries. They contain polysaccharides, a compound that provides mushrooms with potent healing qualities such as immune-boosting, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral and antibacterial properties. Medicinal mushrooms also help to increase focus, concentration, memory, can improve athletic performance and sex drive. Some of these fungi are considered to be adaptogens – substances that help the body deal with stress and hormone fluctuations we may experience.

This week we are sharing a yummilicious and super nutritious recipe for a mushroom latte, that we think you’ll love. It will help you restore balance in your hormone levels and will leave you feeling a bit more ready to deal with everyday life.


Medicinal Mushroom Latte

Ingredients

(serves 1 glass)

100 ml almond milk
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp mushroom complex powder
1/8 tsp dandelion root powder
1/8 burdock root powder
1 tsp coconut oil
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp sunflower lecithin
1 tsp maple syrup
300 ml boiling water

Method

Add all the ingredients into a Vitamix or another high-speed blender and blend until smooth.

Decorate with cinnamon on top.
