Simple Hemp Milk to Enlighten your Breakfast (Plant-Based Milk)
A few weeks ago we shared a recipe of a decadent pine nut milk which went down a treat! This time we are sharing another simple, raw, plant-based milk to enlighten your every breakfast. Use it as a base for your smoothies (super nutrient-rich!), porridge, granolas, or in your coffee!
Simple Hemp Milk
1 cup (160g) unhulled hemp seed
2 TBLS raw wildcrafted honey or maple syrup
1 TBLS cold-pressed hemp oil
1l spring water
1 TBLS fresh flower pollen (optional)
1 TBLS pau d’arco powder (optional)
Soak hemp seeds for a couple of hours, rinse and add to your blender. Add 2-3 cups of water or just enough to cover the seeds. Blend till you get a smooth cream, add more water if necessary. Add the rest of the water and blend again. Now strain the milk using a nut-milk bag or a fine-mesh strainer. Pour the strained milk into a blender again and add the rest of the ingredients: sweetener of your choice, hemp milk, and any super-foods you fancy. Job done!
